DINASTIA VIVANCO (Rioja) - 17th April 2008
The Dinastia Vivanco Bodega is located in Briones, a privileged enclave of the Rioja Alta, in the foothills of the Cantabrian mountain range and on the banks of the River Ebro. The evening will be hosted by probably the most influential man in Rioja, a visionary and lover of all things wine – Rafael Vivanco.

CASA de la ERMITA - 22nd May 2008
Casa de La Ermita was founded in 1999. Their cellars and vineyards are situated in El Carche, within the range of one of the highest mountains in the whole of the Murcia region, which is also a protected National Park. Although the best known variety in the area is Monastrell, Casa de la Ermita has made a name for itself thanks to the adaptation and successful use of other varieties such as Petit Verdot, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their 2003 Crianza was voted Best Aged Red Wine in 2007 (Gourmets Wine Guide).

The fascinating life of Jean Leon impregnates the wine that carries his name, a singular and unique wine that stands as an exceptional witness to contemporary history. The winery, situated at the heart of the Penedés region, combines tradition with the most modern winemaking techniques. It is acknowledged as having been one of the first wineries in Spain to have fermented white wines in oak casks.

REGIONAL GASTRONOMIC WEEKS 
Week long special menus and wines from different regions of Spain at all our venues (in addition to our normal menus).
The regional celebration menus were a set price per person (for a minimum of 2 people) and feature wines were available with each menu at specially discounted prices, Wine Flytes (3 x 125ml glasses) were available when combined with the menu, providing our customers the opportunity to try various wines by the 125ml glass from a particular region.

TWINKLETRUST ANIMAL AID
Animal Aid is a small registered charity that is U.K. based. They are dedicated to helping feral or neglected cats in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. All work is voluntary. Their aim is to try to relieve the suffering of and ensure the well being of stray cats, specifically through the sterilisation of such animals.
The charity survives purely on donations from the public and corporate sponsorship. Barcelona Tapas Bar y Restaurante is proud to be among those companies offering sponsorship. All our restaurants have a Twinkle Trust collection box, any donations from our customers will be gratefully received by the charity.
